Anyone heard of these guys? I just discovered them on the weekend and I am quite impressed, particularly by the Twilight. Travel - EP, and Advent Christmas EP releases but not so much by their latest: Travel, Vol 2 - EP.

Somewhat atmospheric/ambient rock.

Just checked out their site:

Click on one of the album releases and check out some songs. My favorites off of Twilight are Sanctitatis, All I Want, and Sunrising. I like most of the songs on Travel One but particularly Traveler's Song, This Hour and Halleluiah.

As for their Advent Christmas EP, they have the best renditions of O Come O Come Emmanuel, What Child is This and O Holy Night that I have heard. They also have Little Drummer Boy and The First Noel. All of them happen to be among my favorite Christmas tunes and are all done really well. The EP is a digital download available only from their store for $5.

They have just released their latest in the "Travel" series of EPs, titled III. This is a video from one of those songs (they have a very similar video to a previous song, Slow Your Breath Down).

This band is fantastic. Again, I would encourage listening to the albums on their site, although the latest EP only lists 4 songs when there are actually 6. Travel III is my favorite of all their releases...just waiting for the CD to get here.

You can also check them out on myspace: http://www.myspace.com/futureofforestry

I knew these guys when they were Something Like Silas. Heard them the first time at Hume Lake out here in California. Love their sound, but haven't heard anything new by their new bandname.
