Kathi made me remember what happened a while ago. So I decided to start a thread on it.
They will prosper while on this earth. Then they will have a big surprise when they die.
This is very valid, Kathi. However it reminds me of s statement made by a man: it is better to gain in one way (are) than to lose in both ways (area). Seemed more of a political statement.

The man actually believes it is better to dwell in corruption and make money here on Earth than to be a wretched just fool and at the end not make heaven. He says: at least gain in one way.

Some who remained wretched on Earth and also end up in hell are absolute losers, he says, and I paraphrase.

a lot of people came to Jesus, and wanted to be with Him at first, then He told them what it would cost. (while He was walking on earth).

the young rich man who walked away sad is one of the best known.

today, instead of walking away sad, like the rich young man did, people say, "well, i'm not going to do what you say Jesus, I don't have to, but I will still go to heaven with you."

they are the ones (multitudes - millions of people, maybe billions) who are in for the biggest surprise ON JUDGMENT DAY.

rather to be judged now, on earth, while there is still time to repent,

instead of then, ON JUDGMENT DAY, when it is too late.
