Gardens and flowers beds?

What has everyone planted in their gardens and flower beds? How are they coming along?

I will be planting some tomato plants, okra, this week and a few flowers. I might try the mat that you lay on fresh dirt and water, then the flowers just grow up from the mat because the seeds were already placed in the mat. I can't wait to get outside in the fresh air and get my hands dirty. I hope everyone has a great growing season. :B-fly:

I actually made a new flower bed this year. I've planted some lilies and gladiolus. I planted different colors this years. Maybe I'll post a picture when they grow big and tall, I already have a few sprouts.

Pat's tip for Green Thumbs.
Save your leaves from the fall, and bury them is your flower beds. When your bulbs and seed grow, the roots will dig down and find lots of nutirents they need to grow.

Thank you for your thread, Pansy :D

I love plants. I have many trees, bushes and flowers. I don't know most of the names because I have too many and plants have difficult names for me. I don't have big yard so I made my whole yard as garden. I left tiny bit of grass for my daughter. I have been enjoying God's creation fully!!!

We planted a dwarf lime tree in front of our home. It has blossoms already so there will be fruit come a Autumn. We planted many different colors, such as yellow, white, red, blue. Our tiny garden looks very nice, and since I live in Southern California, it grows all year long. My favorite are the miniature rose bushes we bought last year. One has tiny pink roses, and the other little red roses. :D

I live in Texas and we need a lot of patience and tender care for garden for both plants and vegetables. I have been doing garden for 7 years and finally feel confidence in growing plants here. My family don't like vegetables much so I am planting just for myself. I planted tomato, green pepper and my grandson planted beans.
