With the first anniversary coming up of the death of George Best, we wanted to write a brief article, outlining the dangers of alcoholism which killed Best, at the age of just 59 years old:

I'm really impressed with the article and hope it speaks to many who are on the same road. I can speak from experience, I have two brothers who are heading in the same direction but won't listen. I wish the folk all the luck in the world and hope it works out.

In the UK, for those that don't know, we now have a junior AA!

Never heard of him. However, my family has had more than its share of drunks. My mother's first husband (though he wasn't related to me) lost 3/4 of his stomach due to excessive drinking and nearly killed himself by passing out in bed with a cigarette in his hand. He was severely burned.

He was one of Britain’s best ever football players.

We've now produced this article in A5 format, to give out to people on the streets in the mad build up to Christmas.

The press have reported that more money will be spent on booze this year than even before!

If my brother continues to drink he will die. I have a lot of alcoholics in my family. I had an aunt who died at age 36 of this disease. I don't touch alcohol for this reason.
