Girl Guides drop their promise to serve God

Australian Girl Guides have just deleted from their oath the promise to, "Serve God and the Queen".

Is this a sign of open minds and healthy liberalism or a sign of closed minds and unhealthy bias?

It seems to me, that in recent years Australian officials have very conspicuously been dropping references to God. I have never been there, so that may be a false impression. Is it becoming a Godless country?

Yes to them being godless

Not everyone in the guides believes in God so on that level it makes sense since why would some swear to serve something they don't believe exists? It is another example however of tradition being swept aside.

...but when secularism is imposed on the God-fearing, then the God-fearing are expected to comply instantly, but those who are not God-fearing don't often seem willing to respect God-fearing traditions.

That is a problem with society and it is a bigger and wider problem that goes beyond girl guide promises. Any Christian who is a member of the girl guides has already made a commitment to serve God anyway. I get what you're saying though.
