Well, in my opinion what separates church and believers is this administration system, where there is You, and there is Church.

And even so You are a member of the Church, it is You, who donate, and it is Them, who decide what to do with what you donate.

Genuinely, donation to the Church meant to be donation to Yourself. And it is You, as well as any other member of the Church, who meant to be in charge of what you, and what other members of the Church donate. It is genuinely Yours.

It is in the human heart to donate to those who are in need. Unfortunately, I am under impression, is that when Church passes around a donation box - it does not nessesarily mean the Church is in need. The church may have more funds than needed, and it will be passing around the donation box.

I have not seen scenarios when Church would say: we have enough for the moment, so that we will not be passing a donation box around today... I have not seen this.

Now that would be a first for me. I have not ever even heard of that.

We are asked first and foremost for our most precious gift we can give at church. Our time and effort to help spread the word. To help others. Money really isn't a focus at all.

If I give money to God, does the church have any right to take it from Him? If I send my money to God (in care of a Church's address) and they take it instead of God, aren't they robbing God?

I guess you know what I think of the tithe and money taking schemes in general. If the church needs money, they should say "We need your money". They should not say "Give your money to God, and we will spend it for Him".

A church can be blessed and there is nothing wrong with this if they are spending money as Christ would have them. My church is not rich but I don;t think we spend as much money on helping others as we should be.
