I was originally going to post this in the news but I figured that this would be a good place to post it instead since I'm not sure whether or not it's scientifically possible. :chin


 
Not only possible, but fairly common. It's called bioluminescence. Most common example are fireflies. Many more things in the oceans can glow.

The light is usually produced chemically. Ever play with those green glowsticks? Same principle.

Yeah I figured that it was the same sort of thing like fireflies. I just didn't know that other creatures could light up like that. Oh and I love glowsticks! :biggrin2
 
It's fairly common. Here's an angler fish that works by symbiotic luminous bacteria:
