God and Democracy.

Did the children of Israel worship God under a democratic setting or what?
It seems to me it was a democratic kind of setting 'cause they really provoked God big time, and did whatever they wanted.

Perhaps there is nothing good about democracy...I'm serious.

the Bible, clearly, teaches that their relationship with God was one of slave/child to monarch. i don't understand your position at all.

if there is a democracy in heaven. I will run for office on no soccer!

Well I am.
There will be no soccer in heaven.
For some of us, at least we have that going for us.

Slave/Child Monarch?
I think the OT verses tell us the people of Israel (except few) did whatever they wanted. At a point they had to ask for a king so they could do more strange things

subject would be a better word. the Heshem does reign like a King, but the Lord said we are his friends. not serveants.

barca, barca, the cry to the the god of thunder shall not be chanted.
I hope that is the case. I can watch a little bit of soccer, but I can't stand to watch grown men get kicked in the shin (with shin guards on) and fall over, roll around on the ground and crying foul.

lol. but there will be jiu-jitsu in heaven. the real sport.

And you believe that is a democracy and not a revolt against the theocracy? The only difference between a theocracy and a monarchy is the king. They did not voote God in or out, they revolted.

There will be soccer in heaven. Whatever is wrong with your brain that makes you not like soccer...the Lord will heal that.
hehehe! And let the people say: Ammmmmen!
