Romans 10:9- 10 shows us that being saved is simple and can be done in the privacy for your own home in about 10 seconds.

I think people put more celebration and effort into a wedding ceremony. What is greater, the Grace of God or getting married. I am curios as to why God does not command us to be public and loud with our choice to follow him, why we dont invite our whole family to share the happy news, why their is no big feast, cake, wine, celebration!

Maybe God wants to make sure we're doing it for real. Maybe He considers it prideful if we made a huge deal out of it or maybe people would get "saved" for the wrong reasons; party, attention, etc. That's all I can think of.

ChevyR,

Luke 15:8-10
8 Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it?

9 And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.

10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth. KJV

Let us rejoice when one sinner repents.

Indeed. I would take issue with that. If that were true then Jesus would not have said that the gate to heaven is narrow and only a few will find it
