He says humans have lost their respect for God and we address Him as if God is our classmate.

We have to have respect for God.He is also our Father in heaven.We should love Him tenderly.He is not like that stern father who is a dictator.He loves us like a love we will never find on this earth.We will find that out when we are face to face with Him.

So true. If only we could GET this in our heads (and hearts?) You would think with Jesus always referring to father/child or mother/child relationships... and talking about us as His brothers and sisters, that it might sink in.

Alot of times people who have had an abusive relationship with their earthly father have a difficult time relating to God and his love and kindness and compassion.I had a difficult time expaining this to my kids.God is not like your earthly father.

I never met my father till I was 17. Talk about a tough time trying to understand a lot of things.

Yeah, I tried for 51 years, right up till he died, to develop a relationship. But we always seemed like just "friends" at work, or in a club together.
