God is under His own Law

I overheard a preacher saying: God is under His own law. Is this a kind of blasphemy that God is subject to His own Law? I was actually sleepy - I couldn't give my full attention to it. Has anyone heard anything like this....does anyone have any interpretation of the preacher's statement?

The Question "is God under His own law"
Answer "Yes".

God/Jesus made a covenant between himself and his creation:

Hebrews 8:10 (KJV)
For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

God being a just God:

Revelation 15:3 (KJV)
And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.

God entered an agreement (contract) covenant with his creation, and God will live under his own law lest he be unjust!

It's pretty much a circular argument if taken literally, but I wouldn't argue with it from a theological perspective.

It's really just a fancy way of saying "God does what He wants".

God is under no law. God makes the law. Where the confusion comes in is that God doesn't change...so neither does the law after God makes it.
