• why is masturbating a sin? (this helps to identify whether the illness possibly can exist without producing the sin)
• why does the medicated depression contribute to masturbation?

Nobody is born with a mental (psychiatric) illness. Mental illnesses are spiritual infections: disorders of thought and perception. It takes time for a mind to become vulnerable to a behavioural/thought dysfunction and for an environment to learn how to trigger those behaviours in the individual.

You can be born with a physical impairment, but psychiatric illness is a disorder of thought/behaviour and spirit. No baby is born with depression, only into an environment that is prone to causing it.
