God's Foray Into “Manna Socialismâ€
As modern Christendom pursues a reckless course headlong into the abyss of socialism it would be wise to see what the bible has to say about socialism. In the bible there are many examples of God using socialism as a tool to expose man's inner propensity to do evil.
When God led the Israelites out of Egypt he guided them to the promise land across the desert. It was in the desert that God instituted socialism by providing man with only manna to eat. Every person was treated exactly the same, and received exactly the same, a daily ration of manna. From all the grumbling that ensued it is clear that many thought that God was punishing them and many wanted to go back into captivity just to alleviate their insatiable appetite to do evil.
Even with the assurance that there is a promised land teeming with milk and honey man wanted to revert back to captivity just to satisfy his evil lusts. Eventually when Moses went to receive the commandments of God those who waited behind descended into a 'Mardi Gras' 'carnival' of lust, forgoing all the restraints of 'manna socialism' for a parade of unbridled lustful paganism.
The bible makes it clear, that while secular Christians see socialism as a pursuit of godliness, the result will be man descending headlong into a reckless pursuit of sinful decadence as he losses his fear of God's rebuke. Even today every instance of man's foray into socialism leads to a desegregation of societal morals which obliterates any good that is ever hoped for.
In fact man's very first experience with socialism was in the Garden of Eden where Adam and Eve had exactly the same thing. The result of which mirrored the same fate of the liberated Israelites in the desert, exile, as Adam and Eve forfeited God's blessing for pursuing their own lustful evil desires (the desire to be like God). The whole point of God allowing man to experience the recklessness of socialism is to highlight man's inability to use the equality of materialistic goods to subdue the evil desires of his flesh.
While many religious, and nonreligious people alike, see socialism as manna from heaven the end result will be a 'Mardi Gras' of sinfulness.
God Bless
