Dear friends, It is God's grace in the NT, and not the old Law in the OT, that is what saves Christians. "For the law, having a shadow of the coming good things, not the very image of the things, is never able to perfect those who approach with the same sacrifices, which they offer year by year in perpetuity". [Hebrews 10:1 ONT Orthodox New Testament, Vol. 2, Holy Apostles Convent, Buena Vista, CO, Copyright 2000; page 396, q.v.].

God save us all because of and in Christ's shed blood upon His cross and by the power of His glorious resurrection on the third day. In Erie PA Scott R. Harrington

Has anyone here on the forum been saying anything different? If you're alluding to the threads on the Sabbath and the OT law, I haven't seen anyone in those threads say that keeping the law saves people, but rather that they obey these commandments out of a desire to do God's will.

Thank you, exactly right.

Stay Blessed

Those Saved by Grace are saved by:

Sovereign Grace Rom 9:15

15For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.

Ex 33:19

And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.

Eternal Grace 2 Tim 1:9

9Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

Unconditional Grace Rom 9:11

11(For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth )

Immutable Grace Rom 11:29

29For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

2 Tim 1:9

9Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

Note: The Grace Given the Elect in Christ before the world began is bestowed upon them in Time, its an Immutable Purpose from before the world began.

Effectual Grace Rom 5:21

21That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

Eph 3:7

7Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.

I'm leaning ever closer to full-blown Calvinism, so I have to say: indeed, it is God's grace that saves certain people and makes them Christians.

Grace Reigns through Jesus Christ !

Rom 5:15-21

15But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

16And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.

17For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

18Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

19For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

20Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

21That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

What Adam did gave result to death reigning upon all whom He represented, but what Christ did gave result to Grace reigning upon all whom He represented.

Grace reigns even moreso through the Covenant Head , the Lord Jesus Christ, than death does reign through the Covenant Head Adam. Now for anyone who died because of their sin in Adam, be not raised up unto Life Eternal because of Christ, that would mean that Adam's Death results prove more powerful than Christ Grace results, that Adam's deed upon his posterity was more effectual than Christ deed upon His Posterity, who died in Adam.

Thank God though thats not the case, for the Grace that comes through the Righteousness of Christ's deed shall save all those He represented from the death they received from their Representative Adam, Grace will always reign triumphant over sin and death.

Sure it is Gods Grace that SAVES! But who are the Saved by God Grace is the End Question to be answered! Here is a post or two from another site. Look it over for what we are hearing!

Hi ElderEarl What do you mean Bumped? Can you explain?

The position of the thread was moved to the top 'bumped'. There are people who still do not understand Grace and Mercy, as they are too busy drawing lines in the sand about Blaspheming the Holy Spirit. Praise God when the wind blows the sand swifts as Grace is Greater than the ignorance of man. ElderEarl Just wanted to let you know that you will not be Bumped on this Thread and your input here is always appreciated. The greatest gift is Love..Via Con Dios...

E.E.'s (Elder Earl) FALSE Stuff is very little different than the Baptist False Stuff. And this is just one of their many false teachings which has them all required to be cast out!! James 2:10

He (E.E.) talks of the Sin Against the Holy Ghost that puts one in hell. And then he TEACH'S that they stay there and just cook & cook until they cry out I,I,I,I Repent!, and then God lets them out & they then are saved by these ones stuff that they call 'g'race. And again.. saved in sin & not from sin!

And the baptists?? they teach (in bottom/line) that God indeed did LIE, and that satan told the truth ((SICK ALSO!)) with the lost Sin Against the Holy Ghost sinner just staying in hell with an IMMORTAL soul (1 Tim. 1:17 + 1 Tim. 6:16) and just burning & burning on throughout ETERNITY! (+ maggots!) And this is their [GRACE] 'g'od of love! :screwloose

Both are of the Rev. 17:1-5 ABOMINATION OF THE EARTH [[T-E-A-C-H-I-N-G-S!]]. Are there some of the Master's people there? Even that is hard to believe today, but Christ DOCUMENTS that there are still some that are IGNORANT still there! John 10:16 & Rev. 18:4

Yet the absurdity of these two teachings when all of their false teaching are considered, should even awaken up the spiritually dead!

Perhaps even that Truth has it a close call in today's advanced Hosea 4:6 & Dan. 12:4 time that we are now living in??!
