God's hatred of sinners....

Particularly in the Old Testament... there are several passages that states God hates sinners...

How should we understand this hatred? Is it the same form of hate we understand nowadays? Obviously God is still holy and good...
 
It's not the same type of hate we know and understand.

When we say we hate something, we hate sinfully. When God says he hates something, he hate righteously. I think we can experience righteous anger, but often our anger is selfish in nature.
