God's master plan

to be free from the law of sin and death requires more than confession and repentance; otherwise sin keeps gaining the upper hand again and again and again.

if Yhwh controlled all people's choices all the time, that contradicts His Word in so many places, and His Way in Christ Jesus.

What this real life lesson taught me was something down the lines of bad things can and do happen....it rains on the just and unjust.... what do we do with the situation? How do we handle such things... The first response is an angry prayer at God which make no sense... :shame

Allowing things to happen means He doesn't cause them. The thing many people misunderstand is that when bad things happen to Yahweh's people He is able to hold them up and make the bad things somehow work for our good.
Exactly He does not cause them He allows them to happen.Their has been sin in our world and terrible things happen since Adam and Eve.

how indeed? did the disciples who were immersed in Yeshua in the NT get angry at Yhwh ?
they were murdered, raped, imprisoned, beaten, and their families often treated this way in front of them.

how did they handle everything ?

or more recently, how did corrie ten boom,
and later, the amish(in the news) handle the murder of their family ?

God was in control of the rapist?
God allowed to happen what did.He did not make it happen.I do not know what or who made that person rape that cousin. You have two men graduating with honors from High School. Both going for Law degrees with scholarships. One wakes up one morning and discovers he has schizophrenia. He is so disabled he can not even work at McDonalds. The other guy goes on to become a famous attorney.Yes,God allowed that to happen. He is in control of everything that happens in our world.I don't know why and neither do you.We just have to trust Him.We might find out someday when we are facing Him.

Exactly look at those tragic events.

At this time satan is the ruler of this world and this is why so many bad things happen,

Do you suggest Yahweh controls abortion ?
Satan is the prince of our world.Jesus Christ is the King.We know how the book ends.Who wins?

in all those cases of the believers, they did not stand up for their rights. they did not take offense personally. they had been crucified with Christ (all their affections and lusts and good thoughts and bad thoughts all, executed with Christ Jesus),
and
they relied on Yhwh for His Perfect Justice. they relied on Yhwh for His sustenance, through even death, to eternal life.
and they SAID SO. they testified of YESHUA'S FAITHFULNESS, and they LIVED depending on Him, in truth.

We suffer in this word right along with Jesus Christ and the suffering He endured on the cross.

Seeing something here ... we have the death of Stephen... Wow such faith such love..
Act 7:59 And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.
Act 7:60 And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

At the same time We know Paul dodged the bullet claiming his Roman citizenship ... As did Jesus when He disappeared.
Having blind faith is not the same as being blind to all that goes on around us... Corrie TenBoom would not have saved lives if she said " well God is in charge so i will set here and let what happens happen..
Like faith without action.:shrug

corrie ten boom did nothing at all to save herself. she simply went where 'they' told her to go (when she got released from her stalig(death camp).

it was a 'clerical error'. she had been scheduled to be executed, like the rest of her family.

she prayed constantly, most all of her life , and after she was released, for decades more , she obeyed Yhwh and shared His Word and Her Testimony of Christ Jesus all around the world. She never had a fund raiser, nor a group to support her frequent travels. She also did not raise the money herself, nor have an income to support her travels. Yhwh provided for her.

there was nothing about blind faith in Paul, corrie ten boom, or the believers in the OT or NT. (nor in ecclesia today)

The book i read said her family helped save the lives of others? Do i have the books confused?

That is what i was saying...

Added :Cornelia "Corrie" ten Boom (Amsterdam, the Netherlands, 15 April 1892 – Placentia, California, 15 April 1983) was a DutchChristian who, along with her father and other family members, helped many Jews escape the NaziHolocaust during World War II and was imprisoned for it. Her most famous book, The Hiding Place, describes the ordeal.

..

Not confused books, no. I thought you were talking about after the war when people hearing her testimony of Jesus may have been saved.
Before her imprisonment ,
she and her family and network helped many to flea the german gestapo. Some german officers actually helped also , and some died for helping.

corrie ten boom also came to the untied states and warned the churches several times to be ready for the gestapo here. most of the churches not only did not listen then, they still have not listened today,
and worse,
they sit and do nothing,
instead of doing what Christ Jesus says to do. (many are suffering, like they did in germany, and few people or churches are helping as corrie ten boom did and as she taught, as Scripture says to. )
just like the churches in germany, who refused to help corrie or the christians in danger or the Jews in danger,
most today everywhere 'sit' and talk ---- they really don't have a clue! (what's going to happen soon, what's happening today even)

Not everyone is doing wrong ... There are a lot of good Christlike folks around...
This is just as much part of the Word of God as any other scripture
Php 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Good point. Even though we live in a fallen World there's no reason not to separate ourselves from evil practices.
