God's Messengers TODAY

God used angels as messengers in the Old Testament. Now, angels, by nature, are pure spirit. And of course, before Christ came, heaven had not been opened up yet, so the spirits of righteous people had not entered heaven yet.

But now, people HAVE gone to heaven, and they are ALSO pure spirit. So, my question is:

1) Do you think God can now use angels OR people in heaven as messengers since they are both spirit (is it theologically possible)

and

2) DOES God still send messengers to earth, NOT to give us more divine revelation, but to just remind us when we start to lose our way

I don't think people are used because angels were created for this purpose (and others).
I think once people die, they are off limits for consultation (see 1 Samuel chapter 28).

I believe so:

But what about just God sending a message, NOT two-way consultation? Is it theologically possible, since they AND angels share the same nature: SPIRIT?

Why would He send a telegram now? We are indwelled by His Spirit. I'm sure angels won't speak to us unless directed by the Father. I can't think of a reason why He would do that now (given all that He's done to reconcile us to Himself). I'm not saying He wouldn't (because He has in the past), I just can't think of a scenario. Can you?

Oh yes. But God provides this Himself.

True, but I don't think it is on us to limit the manner in which God does this.
