Has anyone heard the news? The golden compass Isn't doing as well as planned. The movie had big expectations that it hasn't met. Reviews for the movie aren't all that good, even by non-Christian websites. So far the golden compass isn't making half as much as Narnia did. Many hoping for another Movie like Lord of the Rings seemed not to be satisfied. Even the game got very low ratings from large gaming websites like IGN. Its game ratings were as low as 3.5/10. If everyone could leave debates about the movie out, because thats already in another topic. I just wanted to let anyone know who hasn't heard about how the movie did in theaters. While the money made isn't exactly low, it's just not what everyone was expecting.

.

The Golden Compass made 26 million in it's second week

compared to

The Chronicles of Narnia made 113 Million in it's second week.

The previews turned me off before I knew all the background information. It does have one redeeming character though. The new James Bond, Daniel Craig, plays a role.

I'm still perplexed as to why anyone would think that a movie that is an atheistic slam against religion was going to go over big during ...Christmas!?!
