I know a man, who I admire much, who has in the past put a sizable pebble in his shoe for the day to remind himself throughout the day of Christ's suffering.
Personally, I take time to think of the suffering of my savior and am typically reduced to a having a heart of gratitude and tearfully saying silently and repeatedly to Jesus, "I am so sorry". (No biggy about the tears; ever since my salvation they tend to flow at anything. It's something of a handicap.)
I used to sit and watch Jesus of Nazareth on the t.v. But they don't show it anymore.
It was watching it as a kid that I became a Christian. I football mad but I never played it whilst the film was on.
I'd sit there with football in my arms. I would cry my eyes out when Jesus was crucified and be really happy when he rose again. Then I would go out and play football a happy chappy.
I dont have any traditions. Nothing. Im boring. Everyday is the same.
I think the only valid tradition in christian is the last supper, but I have no idea how it exactly works as im not a church goer, so guess I just eat a slice of bread and drink a glass of wine, something like that.

No, I do not go to church. If anything I would prefer to be part of a home church group, where people acturaly have fellowship, bible study, and are connected with each other, like family, but I dont know where to find one. Even a smallish church of 200 the pastor would still not know my name, I feel like just a number in a church.

I must admit that make me sad. I lead a home church group. It is challenging at times.
Jesus said that where two or more are gathered I will be there. He did not say we have to be in the same room.
So that being the case I'm willing fellowship with you if you want.

I gave up chocolate for a couple of hours...for lent.
I am reminded of Naji. He is Egyptian Orthodox Christian. He only gets to eat meat 50days of the year with a huge meal at Easter. I helped him when his Church St Marks was building a new church. Apparently they had a special portrait of St Mark on the wall that I was trying to illuminate with a sconce. I wanted to take it down to keep the dust off but that was going to cost congregation trouble. So....
But the unique thing was the kids. They were there reciting the Lord's Prayer. In four languages.
The poetry of it is lost in all languages except one...guess which one.
