Proves once again that Jesus can convert anyone who's heart is open to Him.

And I mean ANYONE!

'Lap-dancing nun' performs for Church

Anna Nobili is no ordinary nun ...

I agree with no reservations. :amen

OK, so she got religion and became a nun, but is she BORN AGAIN as Jesus said we must be? He didn't command us to become religious and lock ourselves away in some convent. Becoming a nun doesn't guarantee her a place in heaven; ONLY being born again does that.

I don't know that the title of the article, "'Lap-dancing nun' performs for Church" is desirable but the nun says she is "in love" with Jesus and certainly has said she has changed from her old ways, that type of conversion can only be from God.

Heh Jon-Marc,

As a Faithful Catholic who has befriended many non-Catholic Christian believers ... I fully understand what you're trying to say. :praying

I have many Evangelical friends, and the one's who know me well enough refer to me as a "Born Again Catholic". :D

But just to let you know, being a Faithful Catholic I hear it from both sides.

Some (though not all) non-Catholic Christians say:

  • - that I'm a Mary worshiper (we do not)
    - that I believe the Sacraments save us (we do not)
    - that I worship the saints (we do not)

Etc. etc. They say I need "conversion".

And on the other hand, some (though not all) Faithful Catholics say:

  • - that I should not become overly active with non-Catholic Christians (uncharitable)
    - that I should only be in their company to explain my Catholic Faith (uncharitable)
    - that attending occasional worship with them is wrong (uncharitable and incorrect)

Etc., etc. They say that those people need to be "converted" as well.

Ugggh. :crying

CatholicFirefighter are you sure you are Catholic? You don't sound like one! :lol God bless brother.....

I guess it does make sense to be a "firefighter" of some sort whether one is Catholic or not! :thumb

:-) :lol :D :lol :) :lol :-) :lol :D :lol :) :lol

^Too funny!

P.S - Quick Note To One And All

I only posted this woman's story to show how great God is, to glorify Jesus Christ! In no way, shape, or form, am I trying to proselytize (that would be uncharitable). Witness the other story I posted regarding the Iranian woman's conversion from Islam to Evangelicalism as a testimony to my intentions here as a brother in Christ.

PEACE

Ha Ha!

Believe me when I say that some of my Catholic friends have asked me the exact same thing. :o

^I agree with you 100%.

Of the hundreds of ways they could have titled that article, they chose that one? :shrug

Yeah, the "mental picture" of a "lap dancing" nun just makes me shutter! :halo

But, in reading the article and seeing her transformation all one can truly say is "it is the goodness of God that leads one to repentance" and for that we should Glorify His name and Glorify His work.
