Hello, everyone.

I may be getting ahead of myself a bit, but I just began to study Koine Greek, and I was wondering if anyone has experience with Greek versions (that may not be the right word) of the New Testament.

It's going to be quite awhile before I can read/translate with any fluency, but I would like to pick up a Greek New Testament at some point in the next month or two in order to read along as I learn and help my progress. I've done just a bit of looking, and it seems like there are a few different versions out there, which has me pretty confused.

Is there a particular version I should pick? Is there one more accurate (i.e. true to our oldest manuscripts) than others?

I'm relying on people more well-versed than myself, and any thoughts/opinions are welcomed. Thanks!

The Bible Society does the UBS version. This is a solid version with good textual apparatus.
They often give it away, especially to Greek students.
I would encourage you to keep studying, it is very worthwhile. It does take a lot of work. Some books are much easier to read than others, especially for new students.
If you want encouragement, read John! If you want to test how well your Hebrew is going read Luke, or Hebrews
