Hey all. My name tells you more or less where I am and where I come from theologically. I'm an addictions counselor working on a Masters in Behavioral Pysch to the end of being an LAC, and will likely seek licensure in Marriage and Family (LMFC) as well. I'm married for the third time, having been married twice before I became a Christian just before my 41st birthday, which was some time ago.
Between us, my wife and I have seven grown children -- my two, her five -- and four grandchildren, all four or under. What a handful when Grandma babysits! She's a NICU nurse and has been for 43 years. I guess you could safely say she loves babies, especially the early, struggling ones.
We found each other after our kids were grown, and though we often express the wish to have known one another 30 years ago, it probably wouldn't have worked out, since God has made us far different than we were back then. We travel, work together, minister together, love each other very much -- a gift from God to one another (at least she is to me; I'm not so sure I'm really a "gift" but she thinks I am) -- and just simply enjoy what God has given us together and through one another.
I love helping men in their life struggles, and Lord knows, we create a lot of those ourselves. Hoping to share some fellowship, Christian love, and insight, as well as gather it here. God bless, and thanks for reading.
