Just found this forum and decided I'd explore it for a while. Not sure if I am supposed to do a biography here or not, so I'll just tell a little bit about myself.
Born in December of 1974, married, and have a 4 year old son. Live in the southeastern part of the USA. I work in the field of law enforcement, and upon retiring I plan to enter the ministry. Already have a degree in law/criminal justice, and working toward a PhD in theology with a minor in ancient history. Within my lifetime I would like to become fluent in several languages to include Hebrew, Greek, Latin, German and Spanish. I might even dabble with Russian and French (didn't Pope John Paull II speak like 10 languages or something?). I enjoy studying theology, politics, philosophy, law, history, and am somewhat of a stargazer so astronomy is in the lineup as well.
I am a Christian, but I am far from orthodox. I tend to be an "outside the box" thinker, and try to study a subject from multiple points of view. I never assume anything, and prefer validation to speculation. I am certainly not here to offend anyone, but if I do say something that strikes a nerve, just remember that your's is not the only opinion or point of view in the world! Be open minded.
