Aren't you? I know I am. Our children are ages 20, 18, and 15. They've never known it. This pic captures almost precisely a picture of my youth. I was one of those kids on a bike in about 1976. No Twitter, Snapchat, Facebook, or phones to text 24/7.
When we left school, the peer pressure and bullying stopped. We didn't have to worry about what our peers were saying about us on line, because the gossip and whispering ended when we left school.
I am SO thankful that I grew up in a day where I only needed to know my bike was near, and I knew where my baseball bat and glove were. I am thankful that I had the opportunity to spend my days and nights disconnected from anyone I wasn't with at that moment.
