What you guys think about such a violent game as Grand Theft Auto?

Well, I've never really played it, but from what I've seen it's just plain sick. I mean, sexual themes aside, the gory things you can do are just disgusting. I don't see how you can have fun playing it. I mean, I play lots of FPS, but I don't like the ones with gore -- and it's not because I'm a wimp either; well I guess I am but not when it comes to seeing gore. I just don't enjoy it. I hope somebody that plays it will reply because I want to understand a little bit more, as many of my friends play it.

Every GTA after GTA 2 sucked. And GTA 2 wasn't all that good either.

The GTA experience is largely determined by the mentality of the player. You can beat up and kill random people, but you don't have to. You can go around killing cops, but you don't have to. You're sort of stuck as playing the anti-hero archetype, but you aren't really confined to being evil, per se. You can, if you wish, only kill "bad guys", only commit crimes against people who aren't really nice to begin with, and so on.

If you want to talk about games that really promote unChristain behavior, I can think of much worse than GTA. It's not even terribly graphic.

As to personal preference, I don't play the GTA games much because they get old for me. It's fun to play with someone else, tag-teaming in and out, but I've never been able to play through an entire game.

That said, Vice City wins major cool points by virtue of the awesome 80's music. :)

In my opinion that game is freakin awesome! I did'nt like gta 3 but gta vice city and gta san andreas was great. I dont really mind the viiolrnce its a freakin game after all now real life. I like the games because you can prittie much do whatever you want. I think san andreas is the best one its the most relatable for me anyway.

the game is perfectly fine the only people who.. "Absorbed" it and went on killing speree's were mentaly unsafe to begin

and honestly whats the big deal with gore HONESTLY a little red flash on your screen not exactly that big a deal

and honestly the reason people play games such as GTA is becasue they know in real life they need to be good but in a vidogame they can do as they please with no consicuences

Every GTA after GTA 2 sucked. And GTA 2 wasn't all that good either.
not true vice city was ok and san adres was amazing

Another fan of the GTA series here. "Saint's Row" is also a very good game, still haven't completed that one.

I wouldn't encourage small children to play games of this genre, but they're fine for adults and mature teenagers.

I would never think of playing any kind of GTA game or any M rated game. Since we are Christians and want to get more and more closer to the Lord we should not put that junk in our way of the Lord. God doesn't want us looking at all that, and hearing all the swearing. It is un Godly therefore wont get us any closer the Lord playing such a game.

I just have to say I fail to see how playing a video game of any sort will prevent or hinder anyone's Christianity and their values. A game is exactly that, a game. While I of course would agree to keep certain games out of reach of the younger population, if you're a mature individual I see no problems with enjoying a simple game. The point of playing a game is to have fun and relax- some might like sorts of games, others might not.

Anyways, the GTA series was alright, it's very repetitive and I never finished the two that I own - GTA3 and Vice City.
