Bible Study Has anyone ever heard teaching on The Angelic Conflict?

I've never heard any preacher mention this topic. Do you believe man was put on earth to resolve the Angelic Conflict? I thought man was put on earth to glorify God.

I don't know that I've heard about man resolving this conflict but I have noted that whereas Satan drags a third of the angels down with him, God brings a third of us through the fire to Him. These two things may not be unrelated.

OH, BUT THEY ARE !!!

Satan was expelled from heaven because, he wanted to be worshipped as God (Isaiah 14:12-14).

He has the same desire even now, as he gathers the Christian world together, to rebell against God's form of goverment, which includes God Laws.....
Revelation 12:17 "And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ".

He has even set up a day of worship for himself.....SUNDAY.....just as the Bible prophecied he would, in Daniel 7:25....'think to change times and laws'.

Though I would that it were true I'm afraid you've got Satan kicked out of heaven a little before the appointed time. When he finally is he will be empowered 42 months to do his worst and have his career cut short by the return of Jesus..

Once you study the Bible, you'll understand (Revelation 12:7-9).

"Once I study the Bible"?

I've I studied it long enough (and participated on enough forums) to get a good laugh at this kind of presumptuousness.

Laugh while you can.....
I GUARANTEE....you won't be laughing.....on Judgment day.

1Cor 4:2 Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.
3 But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man's judgment: yea, I judge not mine own self.
4 For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord.
5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.

God created the angels like the military but instead of rank God gave them power and authority. From the least in power and authority on up to general or archangel. Lucifer may have been God's 5 star general. Lucifer persuaded some of the more powerful angels into going along with a rebellion and they inturn persuaded 1/3 of the lesser angels. I do not know if they thought they could, with thier combined power, overthrow God or just gain their independence from God. Probably the latter is the truth. War in heaven is not a life and death issue for all in heaven r immortal, it is like a master/slave type thing, submission and dominance. Lucifer and 1/3 of the angels rebelled because they WANTED what God would not allow and they WANTED it MORE than they WANTED God. If they would have WANTED God MOST then they would not have rebelled. Lucifer wanted to be worshoped and admired, the 1/3 of angels wanted things like sex. God cast most of the higher powered angels into hell for what they did in lying to the lesser angels. There r a few more higher powered angels that walk the earth but not many. U r right about lucifer, he is probably at this moment standing before God accusing the saints. The lesser angels , God took their bodies from them and allowed them to inhabit man, they r what the bible calls the inborn nature, in our hearts because of what adam and eve did. Since they r lesser in power they do not have the power to possess us as in demonic possession but they do control us. They raise up desires and emotions, they give us urges and impressions, and they put thoughts into our heads. When God's Spirit comes into our hearts, God casts out the inborn nature and our hearts r purifyed. Sin like greed, lust, envy, jealousy etc. r cast out because God will not dwell where sin dwells. When emotions like greed etc. r cast out of our hearts, they r no longer in control of us, it is how God makes it possible to say no to sin. (God looks upon the heart to see why u do what u do, say what u say, think what u think. Do u do and say and think because of lust, greed, envy, jealousy etc. or do u do and say and think because of love, compassion, long suffering etc. What is in ur heart). AS long as the inborn nature is in our hearts it will compel us to sin but when God's spirit is in our hearts sin becomes a choice. It takes one demon (fallen angel) of a higher power or several lesser demons with their combined power to possess us as in deminic possession. I hope this gives u a little more understanding.

teaching on the angelic conflict

Quadding 101: I don't know where you got your story but it doesn't match any thing in the Bible I know of.

In Genesis is an account of the "sons of God who saw the daughters of Adam that they were fair, and they married any they chose."

"Sons of God" is a title given to angels in the OT, in that they were created by God. It is my understanding these are the sinning angels described in 2 Pet. 2:4 as sinning angels sent to tartarus, gloomy dungeons, to be held until judged.

Also mentioned in Jude 6: the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their own home, these he has kept in darkness, bound with chains to be judged on the great day.

Nothing is said about higher or lower powered angels. There are arc-angels, or chief-angels: Michael and Gabriel.

As someone pointed out, Satan and a third of the angels being cast down to earth, happens in the middle of the 7 years "tribulation". Satan will do his worst on the earth for 42 months (3 and 1/2 years). This is all future.

God bless you, Bick

I believe that while this is a great fiction story, there is little little or no scripture to back up about 90% of this theory. I will also say that I disagree that the 1/3 fall is going to happen in the tribulation period. I believe this has already occured and we are now dealing with the aftermath. I believe some have misinterpreted that as a fortelling prophesy.

Had the Biblical record been studied, one would realize that Satan was cast to earth...prior....to Adam and Eves's fall.

ALSO.......There is no such Bible verse supporting a 7 year tribulation period.

My only mission is to inform people with Bible scriptures, satan wants no one to read or understand....in order to destroy them.

As it is written:
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
