On the right, the GOP seems to assume Christians will vote for them. On the left, politicos seem to try appealing to minority voters and more progressive Christians through the churches.

I'm just wondering...is there a point at which the church as a whole has been politicized--from both the left and the right--to the point that there's not a whole lot left that's otherworldly, uniquely Christian?

I'm not trying to criticize. I'm genuinely curious.

Thanks.

I'm not politicized by any of them, don't and won't vote for them regardless of their lies, but will attempt my best to adhere to:
Rom 13:1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
Daniel 4:17 . . . the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.
I hear many say it is their obligation to vote, and their vote makes a difference. Evidently those same ones think they are responsible for our President Obama being in office this day. On the other hand they may vote for someone knowing they're voting against God, and reserving the option to say "don't blame me for the mess we're in, I voted for Hillary." :lol
.

Dunno,
I am a-political....meaning that I have removed myself from politics.

When politicians only try to pander to their respective audience and believe nothing of their own words...I am out.

Good things have been done by both sides of the aisle as well as bad.
