Has your hubby ever made you a home cooked meal?

How many of you men make home cooked meals for your wife? If I were married, I would cook my wife home cooked meals! :yes

I Grilled us Hotdogs the Other night and I've also done Grilled cheeses. I can do more, but it is hard to make the more elaborate meals being at work from 9-6.

Michael 'cooked' for me for over two years while I was very sick. He doesn't have a knack for cooking homemade meals at all, and the practice did not improve him, so we have both agreed that he should spend as little time in the kitchen as possible. ;) I'll tell you what, though, it was the sweetest effort on his part, and it hasn't left a bad taste in my mouth at all. :) I do the cooking, and while I already had a better technique, I try to follow his example of doing it with lots of love. When he provides me with a meal, he takes me out or brings it in. :D

Steve once made me a baked chicken that had all the bones removed and stuffing in the place of the bones. It took him a long time to do it, he had to painstakingly take out all of the bones, stuff the bird then sew it back up to hold it's shape. It was absolutely delicious. He also makes very good spaghetti.

He doesn't make supper all that often, he gets home late because he commutes to work. But he'll make breakfast on his days off. He makes really good omelets.

He learned how to cook the great omelets, spaghetti and the boneless baked chicken in a cooking class he took in college. He took the class mainly to meet girls, but he did actually learn to cook a few good things.

I cook!!

Christine cooks more as she is home more. But I do all the BBQ's, most of the curries and tend to push for and try new receipes.

YES! Hubby is very good to me, especially when i'm pregnant (as i am currently) because i can't handle the smells of some foods cooking, and to be in the kitchen makes me so sick sometimes :sad so often he will go to work, work hard all day and then come home and cook for me too :) and clean up after most nights too :) :adore i love my hubby :adore

We have 3 boys: 17,14 & 2 1/2

So we have the opposite of you, a very big gap between our second & third.

My wifes hubby tries to cook her home made meals but she prefers hot dogs and chips instead :sad
I love making chinese style dishes and theres a handful of them that she'll eat, but thats about it.
I spent hours one day last week putting together a meal that I was certain shed like...everyone else thats tried what I make seems to love it, but again it was a flop....hot dogs and Pizza Lunchables again :sad

Ive been cooking since I was 12 so its not like Im inexperienced with the kitchen. I do like to experiment a lot. I usually get something new perfected, using ingredients shes expressed a liking for but it still ends up a game of russian roulette as to whether she'll like it or not.
I even started making Sushi to have more 'home made' stuff she likes on the menu. She does like the sushi, for sure, but you can only make and eat so much of that in a month :D

She doesnt like any traditional dishes. Ive tried pork and beef roasts and even simple spaghetti and meatballs but mostly she just runs back to the snack food or has me make Mac and Cheese....and not the fancy stuff either. It has to be the old Kraft Original powder cheese packet... :D

I do love cooking, so finding things shed like to eat is the trick.
