Yes, I didn't realize that there were so many screwball ideas out there that were deceiving man into eternal condemnation.!

lolololol.......

You havent seen the half of it either I bet!

Do a google search on "Tom Cruise" and "Scientology".... that is a good one to read up on.

As someone who is affiliated with the SDA Church ...this forum, if anything, has made me realize how close to the truth the SDA doctrines really are! :D

Ask him if he would like to take Ellen G. White's place as prophet of the SDA! 8-)

It couldn't do much more harm then she has done.

What I have learned is about different denominations. I knew virtually nothing about Catholics(except what I saw on TV, which is not too reliable) and I learned that more people don't believe in the Trinity than I originally thought. I learned more about different doctrines.
I don't think I have really learned much more about the bible, itself. But I learned about different interpretations of certain scriptures.

Of course. If that wasn't the case I wouldn't still be here.

Forums are a great medium for discussing topics with others who have a much more varied background than you are likely to meet in any other way. These different vantage points are certain to offer up ideas you hadn't considered and make you be more critical of your own views.

I must go with Solo's first answer.

Amen to that! :smt045

Mostly conflict of interests between the different denominations and even with those who are of a nondenomination, will we ever get along? ..... I think all Forums, in general are the perfect example of the unequally yoked :-? I have grown tired of the constant bickering between the SDA's, the Catholics, the Protestants, the nondenominations, the liberals, and the conservatives. There are far too many heated discussions. :smt014

Ya just have to know when to walk away from some discussions. A person must know when it is time to let go and let God take care of the final resolve.

And sheesh! There are the most bizarre topics at times! :o
Soma Sight, you bring up the most bizarre of them all. I think you get a kick out of rattling the feathers, Like a fox in a den of hens.

Yes, I've learned quite a bit too. One of the most important things I've learned is to stay away from debates. You folks argue and debate better than anyone I've ever met! I steer clear of posting in those threads. I might read it, but I don't post in it.

I have learned a lot about other beliefs, though. I have really seen different views on scripture interpretation. I have to admit, some of the stuff I've seen on here makes my head spin.

Of course, I've learned a lot more than just negative stuff. A lot of things I've seen on here has helped me in my walk with God. It's helped me grow as a Christian.

All in all, I'm glad God led me here. I've met friends and learned quite a bit. Awesome!

And I didn't expect there to be so many people walking around with white canes while pretending not to have them. And even greater suprise is the number that are following them. :o

I learned that the Creationist arguments against evolution weren't as sound as I'd been led to believe. I'm not sure if that counts as theological education or not.
