I've had some extra-natural things happen to me or someone I know, and some things happen to me that have no explanation.

Numerous times have I(and family) been protected from harm by supernatural methods.

I was watching a documentary about Napolean one night, early in the morning(I hadn't been asleep yet.) Halfway or so through the show, this face appeared on the screen. It looked like "swamp thing". I wondered why swamp thing's picture was on this show about Napolean. The next day, I watched it again. No swamp thing.

I've had plenty of signs about things I should/could do, or how some event or something will go. These are neat, because the signs can be seen in odd ways or places. Although not every one may be supernatural.

Then there are things that happen that appear to be coincidence, even though these things allow certain things to happen, or prevent bad things from taking place.

I've never had a NDE, so I can only offer opinions based on what I know.

I don't dought that they happen, but I do not think they are (at least not all) supernatural. One reason being that it doesn't make sense. If God is in control of people dying, why start pulling them through and them let them go back? And since people just permantly lose consciousness at death(It doesn't "go" anywhere else), where were the near-deathers going? If human souls exists in a dualistic state, are NDEs just a possible side effect of repressing consciousness that causes the boundary between conscious here on earth and death to be blurred, maybe causing one's "soul" to be confused?

DM,

There is a neurological basis to all this.....

The right temporal lobe if stimulated through prayer, mediatation, crisis, drugs, near death, etc - will induce extrasensory perception and the respective phenom.....

There are many studies being done showing the buddhists and nuns in deep prayer sessions have remarkedly different brain patterns than regular people. There is a way to induce these experience and experience God directly without words.

I have done so and some a few people I know of personally.

It is a life changing experience that allows one to be free from a false material sense.

It is the real "meat" of sprituality.
