Have you ever licked a frozen flag pole in the winter and got your tongue stuck? I was dared to in elementary school. Mean bullies!

It wasn't a flag pole. It was the metal frame on our dog kennel. And, nobody dared her to do it. But, sigh, my beautiful daughter did indeed put her tongue on it.

Yes, her tongue did get stuck to it.

Yes, it hurt when she pulled it free.

Yes, she learned a lesson.

All I said was, "Gee, and nobody even triple dog-dared ya." I offered to wrap it in a bandage, but she just gave me a look.
