Man, I am a child of the 60's. These things were wildly popular back then. :lol
 
I never, ever, heard those things called by that name. I think I called them "one of those thingys that have all the choices", or something similar.
 
Yeah, those bring back memories. We used to make them as jokes with weird advice or answers even back when I was in High School yet in the 70's (I graduated in 1977). Seems like yesterday.

Now, How about the triangular paper footballs that we used to flick across the classroom and the teacher got irked when someone got hit in the head or it fell onto their books and papers? :D

HAHAHA, I never heard someone call that a cootie catcher! That's funny :]
I have made those, they were SOOO fun. I don't remember what we called them but we definitely didn't call them a "cootie catcher" :lol
