The Word here says: For the worshipers, once purified, , would have no more conscciousness of sins. But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year.
This verse is for those who seem to want to call themselves sinners aznd bring up past sins. The Old Testament never taught that there was a perfect sacrifice for sins. The Jews had to go to the temple every year to have their sins purged. The New Testament teaches that our sins are purified by Christ's perfect sacrifice once and for all. How can this be when we do sin. You see, it is our spirits that have been purified from sin. Therefore, since we have a perfect sacrifice, we are made perfect in the new birth of our spirits. We do not have a sin conscieousness. We are called new creatures in Christ Jesus. Our sin problem has been radicated by the one perfect sacrifice by the work of Christ. Sanctified means set apart. Believers have been separated from their sins and set apart to God by the once-for-all sacrifice of Christ. This is the reason I would never call myself a sinner because to me it is an insult to Jesus. When we do sin it is an act of the flesh, pure and simple.
