Bible Study Hebrews 12:28-29

Since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be destroyed, let us be thankful and please God by worshipping Him with holy fear and awe. For our God is a consuming fire.

The Holy Spirit is opening my eyes to so much meaning to this verse. There are so many nuggets to get out of it!

First, a kingdom that cannot be destroyed...everything has an end to it in the world. Except for the hope of salvation. Everything is temporary and always changing. But Gods kingdom is forever. Will always be.

My next revelation is pleasing God. I always wonder what Gods will for me is. Now I know how. Worship, fear, and awe.

Lastly, God being a consuming fire is amazing! What is holy fire like? Just meditation on this verse lights a fire in my heart. Passion for Him!
 
Rom 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

Angel, as a Texan and descendant of one of the most famous hog farmers in Texas, I love your avatar.

I also love that you have surrendered your will to that of our LORD. It is the Holy Spirit that indwells in you that is showering your study in light. God bless youngster and I vote we raise more and better hogs, just watch me 'cause I love the produce from Pork Bellies. (I am a horse of two colors.)

Thanks for liking my avatar. I think baby pigs are so cute.
I feel the passion of The Lord when I read this verse. That's never really happened as strongly before!

Sorry my bad. Yaweh is def an all consuming fire like Angel said. I wonder what John meant when he said Jesus would baptize with Holy Spirit and fire.
