and was glad I could just use that for my username. I really want to have a christian connection online each day since I am in school (at age 60) and spend hours online working. I feel it will be a blessing to be able to interact with christians throughout the day.
I have been born-again since '93 but I have not been anyplace very long since that time. So I have no roots to speak of, and especially not in any church fellowship. I have attended here and there and been a church-hopper. I do read my bible and pray but I know I need to land somewhere and establish some sort of roots in a christian fellowship. But for now, I hope to at least mingle with other christians here.
I am reading a book by Ray Stedman, a pastor I loved and respected. He has gone to be with Jesus, several years ago now. The book is called Body Life and I picked it because of my discouragement with the churches I have been a small part of. I have known in my heart that it isn't about what others are doing or not doing, it is about me and my relationship with God. Following Christ and loving others, not judging or condemning them for being imperfect. What a hoot, the pot calling the kettle black
Anyway, I am very glad to have found the forum and hope to meet many of you. I love God's Word and am starting a daily bible reading plan, working through a study on David by Beth Moore, reading daily devotionals, one by Sharon Jaynes I really like and also enjoy Ray Stedman's. There are so many good "reads" by fellow christians but mostly, I focus on His Word.
God bless your day, a sister in Christ, Denise
