Hello and Introduction

I found this site because it was listed as a "referring site" on a blog that I write. The moderators of this site were kind enough to let me in as a member, anyway. After many years of searching to find explanations and trying to make sense of the details of nature and scripture, I decided to "aim higher" and search for a universal common denominator into which everything can fit and make sense. This change in perspective has already caused me to reevaluate many of the "details" I once believed and defended. I believe that we restrict our understanding of the revelation of God when we protect our inadequate traditional answers instead of asking more questions. Let the one who needs wisdom ask of God (James 1:5). I still believe that the scripture should be taken literally; but my understanding of what "literal" means has changed. "Literal" is not synonymous with "my interpretation." I admittedly spend far too much time writing and publishing pontifications on the Internet.

Isn't is amazing how our perspectives change when our Lord gently directs us in the way He prefers? As a continuous work in progress, I find I am humbled by the love our Lord bestows ... and I thank Him for not giving up on me. Reading & studying, learning & growing on a daily basis ...our Lord never gives up on us!
