Hi, just signed up, after finding this forum by accident while searching for places to advertise my new site (I'll use the right forum to advertise :-D )

My names Nik and I'm from Kent in the UK.
Married with 2 small kids (2 and 4).
I'm a web designer who according to Mrs Me, works too many hours :D

I look forward to hanging around on the forums and getting to know everyone, by crikey there's a lot of you...I'm terrible with names!

Nik

Hi Nik!

R U from Bromley or West Wickham?

I served my Year Training Prog with Operation Mobilisation @ its STL wholesale Christian books/music distrib HQ in Bromley, '74/'75 & our team house was in West Wickham

( http://www.stl.org is now @ Carlisle)

My then-17 yrs old Dutch room-mate may still be the stuff of local legend in those there parts - he was 2m17 - 7'1.5" - the only guy who could look over the high back yard walls & call a cheery hello to the astonished natives! :o

I may still be legendary as 'the guy with the rusty Brillo pad hair, whose voice comes outa his stomach' - during Dave Pope's 'Time For Truth' Campaign, I used a portable cassette recorder under my raincoat, with a clip-on mike invisible under my collar to announce events @ precincts etc 8-)

As for my solo gospel gigs in the parks of the area on sunny days...

R U in the band @ http://www.s_7.org.uk, who play Crosby, Liverpool tonight? :P

Anyway, welcome on board! :-D

Ian

Hey, nah not from Bromley or wickham, I wish I was now though just to find out more about that Brillo pad hair thing :)

I'm from "further in", sittingbourne to be precise....closer to the coast (if you can call it that  )

It's not me in the band either :-D Although I am appearing as star worship leader tonight at church..... ok, less of the star!

Hi again!

Sorry this ancient library took so long to do 5/6 tries at getting both links right

I know s-7 are linked at fellow-songwriter http://www.IanYates.net & I'm sure they make an album soon & play 'dahn sahf'

Funny enough, our church's 3-man worship band all either already have individual CDs out, or in the case of lead guitarist Lee, s-7 is his other band, who play mostly secular songs, to get pub gigs like tonight's, & throw in 2/3 Christian songs in their set 8-)

Keyboard player Will has that rare gift of perfect pitch: he can tell ya the note of any sound he hears & play it, unnerringly, straight away!

Have fun here, dude! :D

Oh: if ya click my profile, @ bottom of post, I'm sure it has a link that in turn links to a hilarious pic of my gum-chewing Elvis impression

Ian :P
