Hello from sunny Florida

I cant say I'm a full blooded christian or born into religion so i dont have the head start alot of you do on the book =[ I dont own a bible, Ive been to church maybe 25-30 times in my life of 24 years. Mostly on forced terms or something tragic. I'm also a veteran of operation enduring freedom in iraq.. I used to think god was real but now my faith is quite shaken. I just feel myself asking alot of questions to god and not getting any anwsers.. can someone help me? I feel lost..

Your story reminds me of that movie even almighty.

The quote goes something like this "If you pray for courage, does God give you courage or a chance to be courageous? If you pray for bravery, does God make you brave or does God give you a change to put on a show of bravery?"

If God answered every prayer directly then faith would be pointless.

You have already show great initiative by joining a Christian community and the fact that you are looking tells me something.
