I don't know if you are Spiritually born again and indwelled with the Holy Spirit, John 3:5-7, but if you are then you need to pray first and ask the Holy Spirit to help teach you the word of God and to show you that which has already been written by the Prophets and Disciples of Christ as pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world, James 1:27.

Truth is not found in all the various religions that are out there as truth only comes by studying the word of God, 2Timothy 2:15-16. I would also suggest you read the book of John as this will teach you about our relationship with Jesus and then read the book of Acts to help teach you about the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
