Hello,
I am a verist time visitor this this forum. Just stopped by to make a post tonight to say hello and to introduce myself.
I received Jesus Christ as my personal saviour about June 18th of last year. However I went to church for 3 years regularly didnt realize I wasn't saved till I went to my moms church service revival where the evanglist helped me realized I was not saved. Since then I felt like all the time I had been in church had springboarded me to spiritual growth from all I did learn.
I just finished my first year of Bible college at Baptist Bible Institue and looking forward to two more years then I will recieve an associate degree in Bible. I take 3 classes, Old Testament, New Testament, and Theology and doctrine.
For the past year and half I have been in a personal daily Bible study. Currently I spend approx. 1 1/2 a day in Bible study an about 1 hour in prayer daily.
Two Thursdays out of the month I join my church at a co. nursing home for preaching and hymns and I have preached there twice and preached once at my church. At a local nursing home I have held Bible studies (I havn't latly due to school). Once at my old church I delivered a devotional to a mens prayer breakfest.
For the last couple of years I have been writing and publishing devotionals online. Sharing the wisdom I learn with others. I have published over 30 devotionals online.
Besides those activities I like to read Christian fiction and non fiction, secular fiction novels, and comedy novels. I like to watch movices at times. Evey now and then I put together a puzzle on jigzone.com. Also at my local nursing home I play bells as part of a bell choir. I have also been in my church choir, my pastor had placed our choir on hold for awhile and we will be starting that back soon along with church visatiations in which I am planning on attending.
I look forward to meeting with others on this forum and sharing in what I know with others. I may even pop in with a few questions of my own.
God bless to you all!
James
