Hello!

Hello everyone, my name is Galswintha. -waves- I grew up in the Roman Catholic Church but have recently started doubting things we do. For instance, why do we pray to Mary? It says in 1 Timothy, Chapter, Verses 5-6 that "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time."

So why do we pray to Mary? I don't think it's necessary because Jesus died for our sins. We can talk to God without having an intercessor.

Secondly, the Eucharist (the bread and that the priest holds up and is turned into the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ). Catholics believe that Jesus is present in the Eucharist but isn't that unnecessary? Jesus died for our sins at Calvary so why would have to keep dying for us each Sunday? That's how I take it, I could be wrong about that part.
Yeah, I am pretty much not a Catholic but I'm not a Christian either because I haven't really baptized. All I had was water sprinkled on my head. That's not baptism.

Welcome to CFnet! :wave

I am a former Roman Catholic, as well. Don't worry, if you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord & Savior, you are a Christian regardless of denomination. :yes
