I seem to remenber a part in the Bible (NT) where his disciples tell Jesus that others are doing healing in his name, and Jesus says let them. I have been trying to find the verse, but have not yet. Does that ring a bell to anyone.

Thanks.

Luke 10:23 And he turned him unto his disciples, and said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see:

How about casting out demons instead?
“John answered and said, “Master, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name; and we tried to prevent him because he does not follow along with us.†But Jesus said to him, “Do not hinder him; for he who is not against you is for you.â€Ââ€Â
(Luke 9:49-50 NASB)

Yes, That's it. Thanks. I was thinking along those lines. Casting out devils/demons is referring to healing, I think. Maybe more of a psychological form. Correcting ones reasoning/thinking, and its effects on the body.

And, his disciples had been wrong in what they had done.

Luke 9:44 Let these sayings sink down into your ears: for the Son of man shall be delivered into the hands of men.

Matthew 13:15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

John 5:20 For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.

Luke9:49 (King James Version) And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us. 50 And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us.

Luke 9:49-50 ( NASB) John answered and said, "Master, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name; and we tried to prevent him because he does not follow along with us". But Jesus said to him, "Do not hinder him; for he who is not against you is for you".

Luke 9:49 (American Standard Version) And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out demons in thy name; and we forbade him, because he followeth not with us. 50 But Jesus said unto him, Forbid [him] not: for he that is not against you is for you.

Luke 9:49 (Darby’s Translation) And John answering said, Master, we saw some one casting out demons in thy name, and we forbad him, because he follows not with us. 50 And Jesus said to him, Forbid [him] not, for he that is not against you is for you.

Luke 9:49 (World English Bible) John answered, “Master, we saw someone casting out demons in your name, and we forbade him, because he doesn’t follow with us.†50 Jesus said to him, “Don’t forbid him, for he who is not against us is for us.â€Â

Luke 9:49 (Young’s Literal Translation) And John answering said, 'Master, we saw a certain one in thy name casting forth the demons, and we forbade him, because he doth not follow with us;' 50 and Jesus said unto him, 'Forbid not, for he who is not against us, is for us.'

Devils or demons?

Out or forth?

Us or you? Now that's a big difference.

Luke 12:1 In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
