Suicide, alcoholism and car accident.
Manly man, Jazz Age and big breasts.
All talented.
All consumed with success.
 
Hemingway. I've avoided reading his books. I don't identify with manly men. But I want to read some of it now. He was a minimalist. Short sentences are best.
 
Fitzgerald.
I need to read Gatsby again. He captured the emptiness of chasing riches and attending fake parties. Unchristianity.
I feel sorry he married such an unsuitable woman.
Shame it didn't work out in Hollywood.
The American dream is live a successful life by reinventing yourself?
Apparently died thinking he was a failure. Great Gatsby got more attention after he died...I think. During WW2 anyway.
 
Mansfield.
Attractive woman.
She wasn't dumb. She knew how to make the most of her assets. I kind of admired her. I know her life was missing Jesus Christ but I don't think she was a bad person. It was tougher to be a woman then.
