Here We Go Again

The mocking is growing .. they dont understand...... when they get to real persecution... they will find it builds the church

In Luke's Gospel, he astonishes his disciples by eating "a piece of broiled fish" as well as swallowing honey. For the most part, his appearances retain a dreamlike quality, suggesting that Jesus didn't want anyone to assume that whatever happened to him occurred in ordinary time and space. He did not, like Lazarus, simply get up and walk from the burial crypt and resume life on the street. This is the Resurrection, not the Great Resuscitation.

Interesting.

Sometimes I get very angry at their garbage, but it's to be expected.

"These accounts of what happened after Easter suggest that a lot of different rumors circulated about the Resurrection, and the four Gospels reflect these divergent stories"

So, basically he's saying we believe in a bunch of rumors. Some people are so misinformed.

At least they point out:
"The opinions expressed in this commentary are solely those of the author."

any witness account will have some difference. but I guess 9-1-1 didn't happen because all those cameras show different angles of the events and record them. and theres the peoples accounts to. go figure

Naturally there is no written account of anyone witnessing Jesus being resurrected. The only ones at the tomb at that time of night were the guards and it wasn't till the morning after the Sabbath that Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to anoint the body of Jesus with spices that the stone was still there and then an earthquake rolled the stone away as an angel of the Lord appeared to explain that Jesus was already resurrected as even the guards fainted dead away when they saw the angel appear, Matthew 28:1-5.

Matthew 28:1-5; Mark 16:1-7; Luke 24:1-9 and John 20:1 gives different accounts of who was at the tomb that morning as Matthew, Mark and Luke says Mary Magdalene and the other Mary, but John only mentions Mary Magdalene, but I see no discrepancy not mentioning Mary in John 20:1. What confuses me is that Matthew and Mark says one angel was there, but in Luke it says two angels appeared to them. My thought is that we have three Disciples writing their accounts as told to them for they were not mentioned being at the tomb. I really do not think it matters as the importance is that Jesus was already risen before anyone came to the tomb the first of the week. Apparently the guards did not hear anything during the night or early morning.

As per that of Thomas in John Chapter 20:17-31 the reason Mary could not touch Jesus was because he had not ascended to the Father yet, but did ascend right before Mary and later that evening after being glorified of the Father Jesus came back and just appeared out of nowhere before those in the upper room as he was now glorified before the Father and this is how Thomas was allowed to touch him.
