Hey, I'm new!

Hey I'm Gareth and I'm new to this Christian board. I joined because I need to discuss with people about various elements of my faith and I hope to learn more about it. I'm pretty well versed in Christianity, I have a good Biblical knowledge I think. What I could do with educating myself on more is the Creationism / Evolution element of this argument. I personally am leaning towards creationism at the minute but I would like to know what facts are behind either side and how I can apply them in terms of seeing how God created the world. I hope to discuss various verses and various topics in a Christian light. I hope this is the place where I can do this.

Onto me of course. I'm Irish born and raised, I live in the Dublin area at the minute. I'm an 18 year old secondary school student, and hopefully I will be in university next year. I hope to do a degree in Politics with Computer Science, however I do have a huge interest in theology and how I can apply my belief and my connection with God in how I can live my life. However my interest in politics is generally in the Middle Eastern issues such as Israel and Palestine, and the other US led conflicts in the region at the moment. As for Computer Science I'm just a bit of a computer nerd. I have a decent knowledge in the PHP web code language but I'm a bit rusty.

I like reading and educating myself about the world that I live in. This is the site which I will be hopefully sharing my theological views with you over the next while.

Welcome to the forums garethppls! I'm not sure if we have anyone else from Ireland here or not.

Francis Schaeffer was an excellent writer whose main focus is how Christians ought to live in the world, how their faith ought to affect how they live. He even goes so far as to say how Christians ought to treat the environment. I've only read three of his books but I'm confident in recommending all of his books.

Hey I'm C, and I'm new to this board because I just felt the need to reach out. I am not new to the Christian faith but I am new to trying to accept this into my life. My grandfather was a preacher and he really made me question christianity with his behavior. I don't think I left the church so much as I couldn't take what I was seeing. I have recently accepted God back into my life and I have had nothing but bad luck ever since. I know God test your faith but I don't think I'm doing so well. I've always thought of myself as a strong person when I was out in the world but as soon as I came back to God my life has nothing but obstacles. I just want to know I'm not the only one that this has or is currently happening too. I just need a little assistanc to keep strong because I won't leave God's graces again.
