Hola, it's SWfiend here. Before I go on, I would like to say that I am an agnostic atheist, and I'm not looking to be converted. My wish is to learn more about Chrisitanity, and possibly, if anyone is up to it, debate.

Now, to set aside my atheism, I'm an extrodinarily nice guy, so I'm not going to start causing trouble for you guys. I have a wide range of intrests that I enjoy, most notably chess, Star Wars (hence the name SWfiend), and music. So, before you guys start hating me, please give me a chance, that's all I ask. Thanks :).

One on one debates may be conducted in our One on One Debate Forum. Posting in the Apologetics Forum is fine providing there are no posts against Christianity that are derogatory. Just about anything in the General Section (General Talk, Current Events, Politics) is okay as long as there's no cussing and putting down those of the Christian Faith.

With that said, happy posting and we pray God opens your eyes and softens your heart. :amen

We do not hate atheists, so long as they do what we tell them. :D

Seriously, we have a few regular atheist members who are great and are very respectful in how they discuss our faith.....I hope you're one of them :thumb

hehe, your avatar made me laugh, oh I mean lol - I am trying to be cool because I am fifty+ :shades . But now you have done it... Now you have people praying for you, you know :pray I would love to have a debate with you, but I am very new to this posting stuff, and I don't think I have ever debated an atheist. So... why are you atheist, and what does an atheist believe???

Lol, I have never had an avatar in my life. :)

Atheism is the lack of belief in a God or Gods. Nothing more, nothing less. I'm an atheist because of (no offense to anyone here) the lack of evidence for a god of any kind and the contradictions that are automatically raised when you talk about the traits that the Christian God present. I also take into account science, and ironically enough, other religions. One of the things you have to ask yourself is "Why is Christianity the one true religion, and not Judaism, Islam, or even Hinduism?" But aside from that, I would love to debate you. All we would need to do is set up the terms of debate, what we are trying to prove, and stuff like that.
 
hehe, I mean lol... To tell you the truth a formal debate intimidates me, but I can tell you why I know, that I know, that I know Jesus Christ is the one true living God, because He said it, and that's enough for me. Why you ask is that enough for me? Because he changed my life. I was the youngest daughter of a family of nine children. My father had a pedophilia problem, so to get away from that, I quit school in the seventh grade and got married when I was fourteen years old (now you see why I am intimidated by a debate). I divorced when I was nineteen, Went from man, to man, was a cocktail waitress, stripped a few times, tried to kill myself three times. I had a bully that lived in my head (me) I was brutal to myself, I hated myself, I felt like a worthless pile... THEN

Love found me... My Jesus came into my heart and made me a new creation. I love Him more than you can imagine. He picked me up and all He asked of me is to accept the love He offered. I have been married to the love of my life for 21 years, we have the two most beautiful daughters you have ever seen (I may be a bit prejudiced) one in high school and the oldest in collage. I am living my dream.

And guess what I love me! He showed me that I am unique and precious, out of all the millions of people ever born, there has never been another me and never will be. I am truly content. Nobody no matter what, how, where or why could ever convince me that Jesus Christ is anything other than the one, true, living, God.
