Hi and Username question

[DRPreacher]

I have always just used this username but on another site I was asked to change it.
My initials are D.R. and I am a ordained evangelist pastor but the titles mean nothing to me.
Folks who know me just call me Preacher I guess that is what i am known for around here.

I ask this because I was met with some hostility and resentment simply because of my username.
What are your thoughts on this matter I don't have any intention to offend anyone so should I change it here too?
I never thought it mattered so the change is ok as well.

I cannot see anyone here having any problems with that user name. IMHO I think its abused that anyone would find that user name to be wrong in anyway.

I am glad! but know this I would change it a hundred times to not be a stumbling block for anyone...

I have to be a light and a true example of Christ to all those I encounter. I teach the same way. So to have to be an example of Gods sacrificial love is considered a blessing by me. Funny thing was the effect my attitude had on that other site. It made quite an impression and I could tell that some there were at first confrontational but then totally disarmed by my willing submission.

God indeed is good! Very good! ;-)

No, I don't see any problem either.
I personally know a fellow, a Christian Bishop, who has pretty much the same attitude as you. "I am a ordained evangelist pastor but the titles mean nothing to me". He wears his collar only when it's necessary and never flaunts it. He's in Salt Lake City (I lived there for 14 years before coming back home to Pa.)and writes/prints a monthly newsletter that's distributed worldwide. http://www.icmministries.com/
It's that attitude and his way with people that draws them. By talking with him you'd know he knows his bible but he won't tell you he's a Bishop just to impress you. He's quite a fellow.
Keep your username if you like. No problem here at all.

Just wanting to get off on the right foot on this thing! LOL
I work in computers all day and just want to give God glory in this way and perhaps see some blessings as well.
