Pastor, What is your problem with the Word of faith movement? Is it Biblical or personal concerns?

Simply put

you cant count your blessings by the size of your wallet.

And since I pull my personal guidance from the Word of God its both personal and biblical.

Well, You are going to have to prove to me that God dosn't want to bless us financially. You see, whhen God blesses us, then we can be a blessing to others.

This discussion should probably be moved into another forum, however - I can be blessing to others with or without finacial 'success'. You should not wait until your are finacially set to be a blessing to others.

Not to mention that Paul teaches us to be content wherever we are.

Would you provide Biblical support for your 'wealth is good' Gospel?

As far as God blessing us financially

he can and does some but in his measure that we can be resposible with it. However to say that Im more blessed due to my wallet being bigger than yours is wrong and against doctorine.

-Job for instance, went from being rich on high to being the lowest of the low with only boils to show for it. Then he had to endure friends giving unsound advice saying that he had some secret sin. But God corrected them with his wisdom to Job.

The brother next to me in church just because he is broke and dont have a dime to his name doesnt mean he has sinned or is less blessed than I. In fact

Deuteronomy 15:4 Save when there shall be no poor among you; for the
LORD shall greatly bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it:

My true blessing is not in this land but in the Kingdom of Heaven. Money of itself is not the blessing, the true blessing is that God entrusts to me the ability to spend it wisiely and according to the Kingdom of Heaven. Word of Faith is a See it Claim it physical doctorine not founded in the Word of God.


I will of course consider this issue closed as nothing further is warranted.
