Hi from a newbie

Not sure how I should start this other than to somewhat introduce myself.

As my screen name suggests, I believe Godly Wisdom to be one of the main goals in my growing Faith. God brought me out of a Religion that is considered a cult about 17 years ago, mainly through the death of my son who was 19 at the time. Shortly after his death, I started to feel the Peace that passes all understanding and although I didn't recognize it as such then, it all brought me to a huge Hunger for the Word, which continues.

Like Job in the fact that he lost sons and daughters, so did God bring into my life actually 4 new sons and a daughter when I married a woman [11 years ago] who was widowed. Although I am older and nearing retirement age, I try in my Faith to always be the father and husband I believe God wants me to be.

I belong to a 1st Baptist Congregation where I also teach Sunday School to 10 and 11 year old children. Like a lot of things in my life, I certainly would not have thought in my wildest dreams I would ever be teachings SS classes to children a few years ago, but then God I found directs our lives in new and exciting directions if we let Him lead.

Welcome to CFnet! :wave

I'm so sorry to hear about your son. Our oldest is 17, so that really hits home. You have a wonderful testimony about God's Faithfulness in our most difficult trials, though. What a blessing.

i do believe the Romans 8:28 verse about "all things working together" very solidly.
Amen! Hi James and welcome! :waving
So sorry to hear about the loss of your son.
Thank you for your testimony to God's faithfulness and love.
May the Lord continue to bless your teaching ministry!
