My name is John and I am 38 wishing I was 20 :-D

I live in Meridian Idaho and I have 5 kids. Oh, I mean 4 boys and a wife.

I am a non-denominational whole Bible, and nothing but the Bible Christian.

I go by "Swan" because I am a big fan of the movie "the Warriors" and me and my boys became "war game" players on-line and we all took names from the movie characters.

Welcome Swan! From the looks of a couple of posts of yours, you'll have some fun in this place. Personally, I am a denominational whole Bible, but there is more than just the Bible Christian. :-D
 
I come from a Southern Baptist background and that is where I would go if not for Calvary Chapel. I studied to be a Pastor for a while and thru that process decided that traditions and denominational belief differences weren't apart of what I wanted to represent nor teach or study. You say there is more then the Bible, yes, but that is core to belief, teaching, study, evangelism and prayer. What else is there? What do you mean the looks of my posts I will have fun here? Did I come off as confrontational? I spoke plainly.

Not at all Swan, I think Free was simply hinting at the fact that all of us Bible Believing Christians here get to have a lot of fun.

I am very mich like yourself. I consider myself a non-denominational Christian. I was raised Southern Baptist, and I am sticking with the church because I feel it is the denomination that I can stand behind. I've been to a Calvary Chapel, and I liked it there. The qualm that makes me stay with Southern Baptist Churches is that CC's are not strict enough. Nonetheless, I think a CC is a great place to worship our Father.

I am originally from Twin Falls and miss Idaho and family there. Anyways, I just wanted to welcome a fellow Idahoan and Christian!! :D
 
Brutus/HisCatalyst thanks for the word! and thanks for the welcome, I do miss the pot lucks though! :-D And don't get me wrong I would not hesitate to go to a denominational church- I can ignore things I don't like ;-)

Hey Swan---
I came out to Colorado to go to college and then when I graduated I just stayed. I graduated two years ago and have been working for an awesome Christian ministry ever since. However, all my family is still in Idaho and I am looking forward to visiting next week and over Christmas!! Although I love Colorado, I am not a city person and miss the much-less populated Idaho.:D

I was a city person until about 6 months ago, born and raised in California. Began to hate it there about 6 years ago and decided to move here after lots of research. Idaho is a great place to live! I feel like I have finally found a home.
